Melanie Manning compliments Enspira's human-centric approach with a strong focus on strategy, execution, and innovative solutions balanced with practical implementation.
Enspira, a breakthrough HR consulting firm fueled by global and cross-industry experience, is proud to announce that Melanie Manning has joined its team as Vice President of Human Capital. Manning has a strong passion for building relationships and fostering trust to coach and help leaders be their best authentic selves, a passion that she has sustained throughout her illustrious career that spans numerous industries and a diverse slate of roles.
When reflecting on her career, Manning attributes much of who she is today to her years at Fidelity. “It was a huge professional growth moment,” she says. Through her work leading a transformation of the company’s internal retail sector, she recognized the value in forming strong connections and cultivating relationships with her clients and stakeholders. “I learned to be more than just a transactional HR business partner,” she says, “enabling me to provide more impactful, long lasting solutions that are tailored to the individual or organization that I’m working with.”
Manning took those learnings and applied them to her next role at Biogen supporting the IT team. “I used what I had learned from my experience at Fidelity to understand the priorities of the IT team, what their goals were, and how the people strategy supported that,” Manning states. “HR leaders need to truly understand the business they support to be effective.”
Throughout her career, Manning has exemplified what it means to be a true leader, something that she learned as a child. “My dad was a business owner, and I think about people that came to his funeral because they respected him as a leader,” Manning says. “I gravitate towards leaders that lead with authenticity, that respect themselves and their teams. I got that from my dad, from watching him walk the walk.”
As Enspira’s newest leader, Manning’s will leverage her vast expertise and diverse industry knowledge to further enhance Enspira’s offerings. “I want to bring everything that I’ve learned from my previous roles - what’s worked, what hasn’t worked - so that as clients are presenting their needs and opportunities, I can pull from that bank of experience to speak directly to them,” Manning says with excitement in her voice. “That insight that I carry with me will inform everything that I do, whether I’m working with an organization with over 100,000 employees, or a startup with no people strategy in place.”
Manning’s ability to pivot between strategy and execution, while finding innovative solutions balanced against practical implementation is one of her many super powers, and one that exemplifies what Enspira provides to its clients.
