The most valuable aspect of the Leader Essentials was having the open conversation, hearing the experiences from other leaders in the organization and how they approached them, both relatable and helpful in identifying strategies to bring back into our own work.

One key takeaway for me is that it is okay and even preferred to show vulnerability and to be transparent about your concerns as a manager, that doing that develops trust and that is really the key to good communication and developing productive teams.

Connecting with my peers! I loved hearing from everyone and having space together for leadership conversations. I feel like we don't normally have time for these kinds of frank conversations about leadership, professional development, and self-management, and these conversations have been excellent for building relationships with peers, building understanding and acceptance of self, reframing my perspective on various topics, and testing new approaches to challenges I have at work / in my career.

I was genuinely impressed by how actionable and helpful every single topic discussed was.

I can see the beneficial impact of Leader Essentials coming down from my leader who took this program first. Now that I'm a participant, I not only recognize the content being pulled through by my leader, but it has opened up a robust discussion between us.

All people leaders should be required to take this training because it is supporting the culture of what good leadership looks like.
